To those who distort the Sabbath day observed by Jesus-God the Father& God the Mother

Today, there are people who call themselves "Orthodox" while worshiping on Sunday which is not based on the Bible and distorting the truth by claiming that "Jesus did not keep the Sabbath day" with regard to the verse indicating that Jesus observed the Sabbath day. Yet, they overlook one thing: if they misinterpret the verse regarding the Sabbath day kept by Jesus as "Jesus did not keep the Sabbath", they lose the slightest opportunity to justify the "Sunday service" they observe.

First, let's see the verse about the Sabbath day observed by Jesus.

He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. (Luke 4:16)

About the above Verse, they distort the truth by saying: "At first glance, it seems that Jesus kept the Sabbath day. However, if you read it carefully once more, you will find that there is no word "observe." The Bible says, "On the Sabbath day, Jesus went into the synagogue to read the Bible." Can we understand it today as ‘Jesus observed the Sabbath day?’”

They insist that it's not about keeping the Sabbath day since there is no direct expression "observe". Then, let's apply their logic to the Sunday service the same way. Are there any verses indicating Jesus kept the Sunday service?  At least, are they any record that Jesus went into the synagogue to read the Bible? They must first provide the ground for the Sunday service before they argue about the Sabbath day. They distort the truth by claiming that the Sabbath day was not observed although there is a record of keeping the Sabbath day. I wonder on what ground they keep the Sunday service. Isn’t it strange?

The word "custom" is the translation of the Greek word "ἔθω (εἰωθὸς)", which means "custom, common practice or ritual." In other words, we can confirm that the Sabbath day is a day observed as a custom, common practice or ritual. Of course, since the Sabbath day is one of God's Commandments, it can be also called "as his custom was or as he did as usual." It's because observed the Sabbath day as his custom was or as he did as usual.

Why do they diligently keep the Sunday service which was not kept by Jesus without considering observing the Sabbath day kept by Jesus? Believing in God with lips only; the demons also do. The demons also believe in God (James 2:19), the demons also acknowledged Jesus as the Lord (Matthew 8:29), and even the evil spirit said he knew Jesus (Acts 19:15.) If we get salvation as long as we believe without action, it can be also said that the demons and evil spirits who are destined to be destroyed will be saved. The difference between the devils who are destined to be destroyed and the Christians who will be saved depends on whether or not to do according to the words of God.

Sunday was kept because collections (offerings) were made on the first day of every week?-WMSCOG

Some claim that the Sabbath day of the Old Testament has been changed to Sunday in the time of the New Testament because collections (offerings) were made on the first day of every week or every Sunday by quoting 1 Corinthians 16:2.
Now about the collection for God's people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. On the first day of every week (Every Sunday: GNT), each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. (1 Corinthians 16:1-2)

I feel pity for their efforts to find evidence of the Sunday service which is not found on the Bible. First, the above verse is not a record of worshiping on Sundays and giving offerings. The Apostle Paul said, “When I come no collections will have to be made (KJV: There be no gatherings when I come).” If it had been a regular collection, it should have been made whether the Apostle Paul came or not, shouldn’t it? If fact, the collection mentioned above was a special offering for helping out the Jerusalem Church.
There is no need for me to write to you about this service to the saints… So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift [KJV: bounty] you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given… This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. (2 Corinthians 9:1-12)

It’s wrong to insist that it’s evidence that the Sunday service was kept by citing the verse which is not about a regular offering but a special offering.  In addition, it’s also not a record of worshiping on the first day of every week. On the contrary, it proves that they worked on the first day of every week. It’s written, “On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income (GNT: Every Sunday each of you must put aside some money, in proportion to what you have earned).” It means that they must put aside some money, in proportion to what they have earned on Sunday. To earn money on the first day of the week, they must have worked on Sundays, mustn’t they? In other words, the verse of matter means that they must put aside some money earned on the first day of every week in advance not to be in hurry to collect the special offering when the Apostle Paul comes.

However, those who try to find evidence of the Sunday service in any way claim that ‘collections (offerings)’ were made on the ‘first day of every week’ by extracting only the two phrases ‘collections’ and ‘the first day of every week.’ How strange their way of interpretation is! I suppose that they cannot see the Sabbath recorded about 135 times in the Bible (80 times in the Old Testament and 55 times in the New Testament) because they read the Bible in such a strange way.

Punishment of those who has made the sacrifice of the cross in vain

The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross has two meanings with regard to the law. Firstly, it abolished the old covenant. Secondly, it established the new covenant.

Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first [the old covenant] to establish the second [the new covenant]. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (Hebrews 10:9-10)

But God found fault with the people and said: "The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah... By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one [the old covenant] obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear. (Hebrews 8:8-13)

The old covenant nullified by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is the Law of Moses. Then, what is the new covenant established by Jesus?

They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover... And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. (Luke 22:13-20)

Jesus established the new covenant with the Passover bread and the Passover wine in the order of Melchizedek (Genesis 14:17-20.) Since the new covenant, the Law of Christ, was made, the old covenant, the Law of Moses, became nullified (1 Corinthians 9:20-21.) Nonetheless, it would be against God to cling to the old covenant and set it up again. Paul warned that those who do such would be cursed.

... by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations [the Law of Moses]. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. (Ephesians 2:15-16)

"We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' know that a man is not justified by observing the law [the Law of Moses], but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified. "If, while we seek to be justified in Christ, it becomes evident that we ourselves are sinners, does that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! If I rebuild what I destroyed, I prove that I am a lawbreaker. For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. (Galatians 2:16-18)

All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." (Galatians 3:10)

Those who rebuild the law with its commandments and regulations, or the old covenant, are under a curse. On the contrary, what about people who nullify the new covenant established through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross?

Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:28-29)

The blood of the covenant that sanctified us is the new covenant Passover established through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Matthew 26:26-28)

People who stick to the old covenant abolished by Jesus make the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross in vain and will be cursed. Likewise, people who reject the new covenant made by Jesus also make the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross in vain. They cannot escape punishment as it's written: "How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?"

Keeping the Passover is the way to receive eternal life

There lived a happy couple, Adam and Eve, under the love and protection of God in the Garden of Eden. One day, the cunning serpent approached them. The serpent deceived Eve to eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil forbidden by God. She also gave some to her husband and he ate it. As a result, they were expelled from the happy Garden of Eden due to the sin of disobedience and lived painful lives. And they died in the end according to the words of God.

Even non-Christians will know the story of the Garden of Eden. The Bible says that death came to all people on this earth due to disobedience of Adam and Eve (Romans 5:12.)

Are there any ways to recover life? Numerous Christian churches emphasize faith, shouting “We can be saved as long as we have faith in God! Do you believe?” Of course, we can have the promise of salvation through faith. Then, didn’t Adam and Eve believe in God when they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Yes, they did. Adam and Eve and even their descendents had faith in God. If such insistence that “we can be saved as long as we have faith” is correct, Adam and Eve should have not died and live happily in the Garden of Eden until now. This shows that faith alone does not necessarily lead to salvation.

Adam and Eve believed in God. What didn’t they believe?

They did not fully believe in the words of God: “You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.” They suspected the words of God with their own thoughts such as “Well, that’s not gonna happen. How can I die if I eat from it? It’s good for food and pleasing to my eyes.”

God wants us to have such faith that we can believe in the words of God absolutely, even the part which may not be possible to believe with the human thoughts.  God judges our faith through the “Passover of the new covenant.”

Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:53-54)

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover… While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Matthew 26:19-28)

God promised that “those who keep the Passover have eternal life.” What will you do? Are you going to reject observing the Passover with the thought “How can we have eternal life with such Passover bread and wine?”

Adam and Eve were kicked out of Eden although they believed in God to the end. Empty shouting such as “I believe in Jesus only” is not faith! It’s no more than autohypnosis. True faith is to believe in and follow the words of God—even something that is hard to believe with the thoughts of men.

My mom is the best! - WMSCOG

My mom is the best!

My 10-year old son is affectionate especially to me, his mom. With sincerity, he says I am more beautiful than any other pretty entertainers on TV, which makes me feel good.
“My mom is the most beautiful.” “Can I marry you when I am grown-up?” “You are perfectly slim.”
Hearing his absurd and non-sense comment, I laugh away myself gigglingly but I don’t feel bad though. One day when it rained on and off, he was about go to the institute and I got him an umbrella in his hand. “Sweetheart, be sure to wear umbrella when it rains.” “ OK, mom. See you later. Oh, my friends! Mom, I’m leaving. Hey, let’s go together.” He is running after his friends, bouncing like a spring.
Grown-up as an only child without siblings, he loves friends so much that he readily gives his newly toys away. This son, however seemed to have given a slap on the head of his friend with umbrella and run away before getting out of the street entry. “oh, no.. what is he doing?”
Although I got worried, I couldn't just go and ask at once, but only had to wait for him to come back. Returning from the institute, he seemed to be very happy and bright as usual, as if nothing really happened at all.
“Sweetheart, why did you hit your friend with an umbrella and run away? It is not a thing to hit others but to use when it rains. Why did you do that?” “Mom, he said my mom looks ugly. You are the most beautiful, aren't you?
I was just floored but then felt kind of dwarfed at that moment  The reason was that Heavenly Mother suddenly flashed in my mind. Then I got to look back on myself in the past. Questioning myself how much I have felt proud of Heavenly Mother, I had no choice but to feel sorry and even shame because I have always been admitting myself children of Mother.  Even though I know I am such a prodigal sinner, I used to hold my righteous indignation and oppose to those who slander the truth and even Heavenly Mother.

I truly give all thanks and praise to Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother for allowing me to reflect upon myself as well as my mind toward Heavenly Mother through my boy having a purse heart toward his mom

Is your God in the Bible? -WMSCOG God the Father&God the Mother

He is the one I know very well and love the most like my life. I went to the place of our appointment and greeted him very nicely. However, his response was cold. He even said, “I don’t know you.” How would you feel if you find yourself in such a situation? You will surely feel embarrassed and might be terribly disappointed by his response.
What if the one who didn’t recognize you is “God”?  You surely will not want to imagine that. Unfortunately however, it’s not just an imagination. It must happen to someone in reality.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers [you workers of lawlessness: ESV]!’ (Matthew 7:21-23
It’s the word of Jesus in front of the door of the kingdom of heaven. To whom will He say, “I never knew you. Away from me”? To those who did not know God? No. Jesus will say to those who had special faith and loved Jesus, so as to say “Lord, Lord” and to act as the prophets who prophesied in the name of Jesus and performed many miracles.
Why will Jesus ignore and expel people with such faith from the kingdom of heaven?
We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. (1 John 2:3-6)
Faith starts from knowing God. Believing in God without knowing Him is no more than blind faith. Those who do not obey His commands neither have faith nor know God. The God who is in the Bible acknowledges that we are His children if we observe God’s commandments such as the Sabbath and the Passover.  However, many people follow man-made commandments such as Sunday, Christmas and cross-idolatry. Which God do they believe in? The God believed by such people is another God not found in the Bible.

We are walking the path of faith with an expectation of a joyful meeting with God. If you wish to be welcomed by God someday, you must seek “God in the Bible.”

The World Mission Society Church of God believes in God the Father and God the Mother according to the Bible

One of things that many people misunderstand about the Bible is that there is only God the Father. However, the Bible clearly reveals that there exists God the Mother as well God the Father from the first page of the Bible.
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea...." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:26-27)
If there is only one God, God the Father, it should read ‘my image’ not ‘our image.’ In addition, only ‘male’ should have been created in the image of God the Father. But, is there only male created in the image of God? Isn’t there also ‘female’? The fact that male and female were created in the image of God is the evidence that God’s image includes God the Father and God the Mother. It’s very important to know the existence of God the Father and God the Mother because it’s prophesied that God the Father and God the Mother are to appear to give us the water of life in the last days.
The Spirit [God the Father] and the bride [God the Mother] say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. (Revelation 22:17)

Those who have met God the Father and God the Mother can receive the water of life. People who only know God the Father do not know God whom we must press on to know. The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) receives the water of life from the Spirit and the bride according to the words of the Bible.

God the Mother should come in the flesh

"Abraham did not do such things."

This is what Jesus said to the Jews who alleged that they were the children of Abraham. Why did Jesus deny the blood of the Jews who were the actual offspring of Abraham? What's the difference between Abraham and them?

“… I [Jesus] am telling you what I have seen in the Father's presence, and you do what you have heard from your father." "Abraham is our father," they answered. "If you were Abraham's children," said Jesus, "then you would do the things Abraham did. As it is, you are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. (John 8:38-40)

In the past, Abraham had met God who had appeared just as the Jews met God in the flesh. At that time, how did Abraham receive God?

The LORD appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. Abraham looked up and saw three men [God and two angels] standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. He said, "If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by. Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree. Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way--now that you have come to your servant." "Very well," they answered, "do as you say." (Genesis 18:1-5)

Abraham treated God who appeared as a man with best butter and milk, and a calf dish. So, God allowed Abraham to have a son "Isaac" and blessed him, giving such titles as "the father of faith" and "the father of many nations." Receiving God in the flesh; it's what Abraham did.

The Bible prophesies that God is to appear in the flesh "a second time" to bring salvation to those who are waiting in the last days. Moreover, in these days, not only God the Father but also God the Mother, His bride, is to come together.

The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. (Revelation 22:17)

Jesus said, "If you were Abraham's children, then you would do the things Abraham did." In this age, those who accept the Holy Spirit God the Father and the bride God the Mother who have come in the flesh to give us the water of life are Abraham's children.

Father’s love that I later realized

Father’s love that I later realized

My father raised us; three children, all alone.

And among those children, he loved me most, who resembled him.

During childhood, he used to take me on his motorcycle when he went hunting or fishing.

I also loved to follow him wherever he went.

As I became a junior high, I liked hanging around with my friends instead of spending time with my father.

“Your dad’s here.”

It was when we were having P.E.

I quickly said it wasn’t my father and ran away.

Noticing that I was embarrassed of him, he silently left without calling my name.

From that day, he didn’t visit my school.

As I became a grownup, I started to come home really late.

My father used to save meat dishes that he made for dinner. Then, he would call me to his room and fed me.

With annoyed look and voice, I would go to my room, saying that I was exhausted and sleepy.

In those years, I couldn’t realize.

The love of my father who waited for me spending all night without sleep, making sure the room was warm enough.

There was a time when I received a gallstone operation.

Since I had no mother, it was my father’s duty to look after me.

My gallstone got infected after the operation and had to be hospitalized for a month.

My father would come to the hospital 7 in the morning and went home 11 in the evening.

Though he spent his whole month for me, this immature daughter was annoyed of him being closed to me and thinking that my friends were uncomfortable with him, I would go to places where he was not present.

I would fume and fret to my father who looked after me every day.

I even starved myself saying that I’ve lost my appetite.

My father would then pack some food at home and come to the hospital which took 3 hours by bus.

Worrying that I needed to eat well in order to take strong medicine, he would always prepare the food nice and warm.

Early morning till late night he would only consider me, but I fumed and fretted and was annoyed with him.

When I finally realized my father’s silent love, he was no longer with me.

That regret still remains in my heart thinking that I should have realized sooner.

As time passes by, I realize how deep and wide my father’s love was.

And then I started to think about Heavenly Father.

I see myself how carelessly I considered Heavenly Father’s untiring love, coming to this earth to give us life.

How painful his heart must have been whenever I neglected Father’s love.

I promised myself not to leave regret in my heart again.

As a child who has received Heavenly Father’s great love, I now want to get on his side and become a child who can give him joy.

Mother’s long-sleeve clothes

Frankly, I couldn’t understand why my mother had to wear long sleeves all the time.

Even throughout sizzling hot summers, she just had to wear long sleeve clothes.

Since she was satisfied feeding her children rather than herself, all day long she worked in the field for income.

All those sufferings that she had gone through under the sun created lengtigines on her arms, like a tattoo.

Leaving all the heaven’s glory behind, Heavenly Mother dwells with us, all covered with filthy sins.

She forgets all about Her pain when She sees Her children smile.

I now want to realize Her sufferings concealed behind her smiles.

Like Jacob and Issac, I want to be Her joy and Her smile.

God the Mother and a toenail

A toenail

It was on one sizzling hot summer day, as if the heat would melt down the road.

My seven-year-old son kept on pestering me to go to the cool fountains in the park.

Thinking that I had to wait in the heat with a towel, for him to have fun in the water, I couldn’t even consider about going.

But of course, my child would never give up.

“Okay… okay… Fine. Let’s go.”

Having a smile ear to ear, my son was full of joy and kept on humming.

When we arrived at the park, seeing him enjoying the cool water, I also felt refreshed and I thought I made the right choice.

“Ouch!”

Checking one of my text messages, I heard a shrieking sound. My son was sitting on the bare ground and crying. When I went close to him, I noticed his toe was bleeding. While I was looking away from him, playing with his shoes off, his toe got stuck in one of the fountains. And trying to get his toe out, his toenail fell off.

I carried him on my back and ran to the ER.

For that small moment, my toes felt so painful as if my own toes were cut off. I was also so anxious. He took an X-ray examination on his toe to make sure he didn’t break any bones.

Fortunately, there weren’t any bones broken. The doctor took off the piece of flesh narrowly hanging on to his toe, and put on some ointment after disinfecting the wound. Though it hurt, my son couldn’t possible cry because he was nervously glancing on me, because he knew he refused to listen to his mother who told him not to take his shoes off.

‘That little toe dressed in a bandage…

How painful would it be?

Oh, I told him to listen to his mother.

No, I had to watch him every single moment….’

I regretted and felt guilty at the same time.

‘This is mother’s heart. Even if there’s a small scar on her child’s body, it is heart-rending.

Seeing just a little toe falling off from his feet really hurts me. I realized how anxious Heavenly Mother must have been seeing her loving children waiting to be sent to this land of death.

It was a natural thing for us to go through for our sins, but our Heavenly Mother sheds tears even today, considering Herself as a sinner.’

Coming back to our house, seeing my child sleeping on my back after being all exhausted from being frightened, I shed tears thinking about our Heavenly Mother.

Though I let Her worry even in Heaven, I still don’t seem to fully repent and always leave a scar on Her heart.

Seeing my foolish self, I couldn’t possibly forget how sorry I was.

I promised myself to change.

Without forgetting Her words that “We must be born again with a flawless faith,” I want to obey all Her words, to become a daughter who can give smiles to Her instead of scars.

World Mission Society Church of God keeps the Sabbath day

Of course, since the Sabbath day is one of God's Commandments, it can be also called "as his custom was or as he did as usual." It's because Jesus observed the Sabbath day as his custom was or as he did as usual.

God the Mother of Sacrifice and Love

Mother of Sacrifice and Love

The Bible says that God is love (1 Jn 4:8). Until we have got where we are today, there have been God the Father who established the new covenant-the truth of life-through His sacrifice and God the Mother who spares no effort to lead us to the eternal kingdom of heaven even at this moment.

Father's love is unmeasurable, and Mother's love is even more unfathom-able, so we cannot grasp the depths of Her love for us. From Mother comes the power that enables the members of Zion to help one another and to become united in love. The endless sacrifice and love of Mother are defeating all the hindrances of Satan in the invisible spiritual world and are leading us, Her children, to victory. Now, let's take some time to confirm this fact through the Bible.

A lavish love

A long time ago, a teacher and his students made a long journey in order to obtain enlightenment. While walking along the road, they discussed about what the greatest love in the world is. When they arrived at a village, many human bones were found heaped up together. A sudden accident or disaster had probably overtaken the whole village.

Looking at so many human bones laying twisted and tangled up together, the teacher seemed suddenly struck by a thought, and asked his students if they could find a woman's bone among those bones. His students just looked at one another's faces, unable to select a woman's bone easily.

Then the teacher picked up one of the bones, and said it was the bone of a woman. His students asked how he could recognize a woman's bone so easily among those numerous bones. The teacher explained the reason to them as follows:

"Think about a woman's life first. When she is young, she is always treated as less than a man just because she is female. When she gets married and becomes pregnant, she provides all the nourishment in her body to her unborn baby. When she gives birth to her child, she has to shed blood. Moreover, when she breast-feeds her baby, all the nutrients in her body are passed on to her child through her breast milk. Since she does so, how can the nutrients remain in her bones? Such a bitter and sacrificial life of a woman has made her bone light and dark like this."

Listening to the teacher, his students were all reminded of their mothers. ‘Such is the life of a mother. She only gives her children everything, but there is nothing she can do for herself.' As they realized this, they became solemn for a while. They were deeply moved to hear their teacher say that a mother gives her children everything-even the marrow of her bones-in the process of being pregnant, giving birth to them and raising them. Thinking of their mothers, they all shed tears.

A mother is the one who gives unconditional love to her children. She only gives her children everything she has. Why is the life of every mother on this earth so devotional? Why did God make a mother into such a sacrificial being?

A mother continuously tries to give everything to her children with careful concern for them, wishing them to succeed and prosper in life, even though she herself suffers a lot. This love and sacrifice is the nature of a mother. I believe that God has put the spirit of love and sacrifice in the hearts of mothers on this earth because it is the spiritual nature of our Heavenly Mother.

Those who love Jerusalem, and those who do not serve Jerusalem

Like the disciples in the above story, who obtained realization from what their teacher said and were moved to tears, thinking of their mothers, we shall also realize the sacrifice and love of our spiritual Mother and engrave it deep in our hearts.

Isa 66:10-14 『"Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice greatly with her, all you who mourn over her. For you will nurse and be satisfied at her comforting breasts; you will drink deeply and delight in her overflowing abundance." For this is what the LORD says: "I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream; you will nurse and be carried on her arm and dandled on her knees. As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem." When you see this, your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like grass; the hand of the LORD will be made known to his servants, but his fury will be shown to his foes.』

In Galatians it is written, "But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother" (Gal 4:26). So, "those who love Jerusalem" means "those who love their spiritual Mother." Mother has given us everything-Her flesh and blood and even Her bones, until She has nothing left to give and Her bones become very light. We must realize how much Mother gives us and how much pain and sorrow She endures behind the scenes.

God bestows His blessings on those who realize the love of Jerusalem Mother, and He pours out His wrath upon those who do not realize Her love and turn away from Her.

Isa 60:1-12 『"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm. . . . Who are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their nests? Surely the islands look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish, bringing your sons from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, . . . For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined."』

The above prophecy of Isaiah 60 sings the glory of Jerusalem that is to appear in the future. It also proclaims God's warning that on the last day He will judge all peoples and nations that do not serve Jerusalem.

Proclaim the glory of Jerusalem to the whole world

In order for God's people, who were small and weak, to become a mighty nation, they should display the glory of Jerusalem throughout the world. God our Father told us to proclaim Jerusalem's glory to the whole world without rest.

Isa 60:21-22 『"Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor. The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly."』

Isa 62:6-7 『I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.』

The Bible repeatedly urges us not to stop spreading the glory of Jerusalem all over the world. If we understand Mother's boundless sacrifice, love and pain, we should proclaim Her glory to the ends of the earth.

Through mothers on this earth, we can understand the sacrifice and love of Heavenly Mother even a little bit. Every earthly system, everything done on this earth, is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven, and God created all things by His will (Heb 8:5; Rev 4:11).

If the love of a father is an invisible fence that surrounds us and keeps us safe, the love of a mother works more directly and closely with her children. Suppose an urgent situation where children are caught in a fire. When this happens, fathers tend to judge the situation rationally, but mothers judge it sensitively. Fathers are likely to make a rational judgment: ‘Since the fire has become this big, if I fail to get them out of the fire within a few seconds, both of us will die.' On the other hand, mothers run into the fire first in order to save their children. A mother's love is so unconditional.

Victory given through Mother's sacrifice and love

Thus, we are growing in the love of Mother who lavishly sacrifices everything to save us, Her children. That's why we, the offspring of the woman, can win the spiritual war against Satan in the end.

Ge 3:15 『"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."』

God said that He would put enmity between the serpent and the woman. The woman is described as the "mother of all the living" (Ge 3:20). The woman (Mother) and the serpent (Satan) are enemies to each other. The offspring of the woman and the offspring of the serpent are also enemies to each other.

The devil our enemy sets all sorts of traps and snares in order to tempt us to disobey the holy will of our heavenly Mother. He devises many schemes to make us waste our time on earthly things that are meaningless and transient.

In order to resist the temptations of Satan and to win victory over him, we absolutely need to make efforts to obey Jerusalem Mother and put Her words into practice, with love for Her. Heavenly Mother is working even at this moment, sparing no pains, for us Her children. How about us? What are we doing now? Are we not absorbed in things for physical comfort and pleasure and wasting our time on such worthless things? Or, are we trying to save souls while giving and sharing, along with Mother? We need to reflect on ourselves.

Rev 12:9 『The great dragon was hurled down-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.』

Rev 12:17 『Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring-those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.』

The great dragon was hurled down, and the identity of the dragon was discovered to be the serpent in the Garden of Eden. The serpent was expelled from heaven, and is opposing the woman on this earth.

In the Bible, the dragon or the serpent refers to Satan the devil. Satan was enraged at God the Mother and went off to make war against the rest of Her offspring-those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Although Satan is reigning over numerous people like the sand of the sea, he is destined to lose every war.

Rev 20:7-10 『When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth-Gog and Magog-to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.』

The spiritual warfare between the serpent and the woman-between the offspring of the serpent and the offspring of the woman-is to end with the punishment of the dragon in an unquenchable fire where he will be tormented forever and ever.

Satan can never triumph over Mother. Since Mother has "love" the greatest power, how can Satan win?

The power that enables God's children to be victorious is the endless love of Mother who protects Her children, even at the risk of Her own life. So, those who love Jerusalem display Her glory wherever they are, and proclaim Her holy sacrifice and love to the ends of the earth.

Salvation achieved through sacrifice

Satan is doomed to be tormented in the eternal fire of hell. Now, let's see where God our Mother is leading us, Her children.

Rev 22:1-5 『Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.』

God our Mother has continuously guarded and protected us, Her loving children, from every evil scheme of Satan to lead us to the way of eternal life and to ultimately raise us as the heavenly royal priesthood who will reign forever and ever. Until She has done that, spiritually Her flesh and bones have become so weak and frail. Everything good has been taken by Her children. She has given Her children all things that can help them. The six thousand year long period has been a series of such spiritual struggles. We can fully understand it even though we do not hear the explanation regarding how light and frail a woman's bone is.

Those who do not realize the love of Jerusalem our heavenly Mother cannot stand at the position of the heavenly royal priesthood. They cannot resist and overcome the power of Satan. Only when we cherish the love of Mother and put it into practice, we will be able to become "those who overcome" (Rev 3:12), just as Mother has won eternal victory.

Preaching without love is lifeless. It is only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. Only when we fill our hearts with God's holy love, we can preach sincerely and practice true love. Mother's love that works within us enables us to take care of one another, to correct someone if he or she has a wrong thought and to help another out if he or she goes astray, so that we will all be able to enter the kingdom of heaven together.

Let's share the love we have received from Mother with our brothers and sisters and with our neighbors and all people around the world, who have not received the truth yet, so that the glorious way can be opened for them all to fly into the arms of Heavenly Mother like clouds, like doves to their nests, according to the prophecy of Isaiah. As children of Mother, we should also care about many people around us with love for them, always remembering that the source of love is Heavenly Mother, and should repay Mother for the love we have received from Her. I earnestly hope that all our brothers and sisters in Zion will follow Mother wherever She leads us and give glory, praise and thanks to Her all the time.

Heavenly Father and Mother want us all to become a royal priesthood in heaven. Elohim have told us not to lose the glorious position but hold on to it, so that no one will take our crowns (Rev 3:11). Serving Heavenly Mother and receiving Mother's abundant love, let us preach the gracious love of life-the heavenly love-to all people around the world and provide the love to them as much as we can, so that we will all go to the eternal kingdom of heaven together.

Christ Ahnsahnghong is our God in this age

A Stumbling Block to Jews and Foolishness to Gentiles

At the time of the early Church, there was a stumbling block to Jews. Every day they gathered together to plot how to stop the crowd of people who were doing what was a stumbling block to them, how to slander and hinder them from attracting people's attention. What was the stumbling block to the Jews?the thing that they hated the most?

It was the preaching of Jesus Christ. God is light, so darkness hates the light (Jn 1:1-14). It is because darkness retreats even when a tiny bit of light shines. What Satan hates the most is revealing God, our Savior in each age: Jehovah in the age of the Father, Jesus Christ in the age of the Son, and the Spirit and the Bride?our Heavenly Father and Jerusalem our Heavenly Mother?in the age of the Holy Spirit. The preaching of Christ is a stumbling block and foolishness to people in the world, but it is most pleasing to God.

We, who are children of light, should shine the light of the glory of Jerusalem on the whole world, so that we can defeat darkness and lead all people into life. The world does not know God through its wisdom The preaching of God who has come in the fl esh is a stumbling block to Jews who claim to believe in God, and foolishness to Gentiles who do not know God. However, God's point of view is completely different. The Bible says that God is pleased through the foolishness of what is preached to save those who believe.

1 Co 1:21-24 『For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.』

When Christ came to this earth as the Savior in the age of the Son, people in those days did not have the wisdom to recognize Him. To the Jews, Jesus was a stone that caused them to stumble, and all the disciples who preached Jesus were also an annoyance to them. The name of God whom they believed in was Jehovah, so when God came to this earth in the flesh in the name of Jesus, they had a strong antipathy towards Jesus, saying, ‘How can you, a mere man, claim to be God?" Jesus was a man just like one of them in their eyes, but the disciples preached that He was God, and it seemed so foolish even to Gentiles who did not believe. However, as more and more people paid attention to the teachings of Jesus, who was completely different from the Jewish high priests who were authoritative and hypocritical, they came to feel the voice of God. The Jews, who felt a sense of crisis, plotted how to remove Jesus and His followers, how to make people have a bad impression about them. So, they produced false witnesses and spread false rumors to oppose Christ, and slandered the saints of the early Church, calling them the "followers of the Nazarene sect" (Mt 26:59-61; 28:11-15; Ac 24:1-5).

Jn 10:30-33 『"I and the Father are one." Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?" "We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God."』

The Jews picked up stones to stone God just because He referred to Himself as God. How deplorable and lamentable it is! God can come to this earth in the flesh anytime. The Bible clearly shows that God appeared as a man in the days of Abraham (Genesis 18), and it was also prophesied in many places of the Bible that God would be born in the flesh. However, to those who neglected the prophecies, Christ appeared to be a mere man, the son of a humble carpenter. He seemed to have no power and did not live a rich and dignified life, but instead He kept company with the poor and lowly people, the so-called sinners, taking pity on them. This prevented them from recognizing Jesus as God. Finally, they went to Pilate, the governor, and strongly asked him to have Jesus crucified. Pilate was afraid of an uproar, and said in front of the crowd, "I am innocent of this man's blood. It is your responsibility." Then all the people answered, "Let his blood be on us and on our children!" They were so confident in opposing Jesus. But where are they now? Preaching the gospel of Christ is a stumbling block to Christians and foolishness to people of the world, but we are doing this great work in this age. As the Jewish people in those days did not have the knowledge of God, so do people today. We are preaching Christ like the disciples who received Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago, and the so-called Christians today are slandering the truth just like the Jews who rejected Jesus 2,000 years ago. If we preach the gospel, each individual soul realizes the truth correctly and comes to know God the Father and God the Mother.

That is why Satan hates it so much. However, God has prepared the kingdom of heaven which is beautiful and glorious beyond all human imagination, for the heavenly children who make every effort to display the glory of God, their Savior. 1 Co 2:8-10 『None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"?but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.』

Spiritual things are spiritually discerned The preaching of God who came in the flesh was a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles. It was because they looked at Him from a physical point of view. From a spiritual point of view, it is really great and amazing. Since we are doing this great task, our God is preparing us for the glorious times we will enjoy in the eternal kingdom of heaven. God has promised to let us eat and drink at His table in the kingdom of heaven and put each of us into a position which even angels envy. When we go back to heaven by keeping our faith firm and working hard to save souls, God will then give us everything we want. This work we are doing is never in vain (1 Co 15:58). So, thinking about the glory of heaven which Father and Mother will bestow on us, let us put value in the heavenly things and live in hope.

1 Co 2:13-14 『This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.』

Since the Jews looked at spiritual things from a low, physical point of view, they were never able to see the divine nature of God. So, when Jesus testified about Himself 2,000 years ago, even His relatives attempted to restrain Him, saying He was out of His mind. Jesus had brothers and sisters, and the whole town knew that He was born by His mother Mary. So, when Jesus referred to Himself as God who came down from heaven, they could not understand it. However, the Bible clearly prophesied that God the Almighty would be born as a baby through the body of a virgin (Isa 7:14; 9:6).

As we can confirm the existence of microorganisms when we look through a microscope, so we can understand spiritual things when we discern spiritually. Since people look at spiritual things with their physical eyes, they do not believe in God the Mother no matter how many times we show them the Biblical verses that testify to Mother. They make their own thoughts higher than God's words. Still, they claim to believe in God. So the Bible says that they claim to know God but by their actions they deny Him (Tit 1:16). Since it is written like that in the Bible, it is not worth rediscussing. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot understand why Father and Mother have come to this earth in the flesh, and why we put our whole heart into preaching the gospel to Samaria and to the ends of the earth. They value physical things, but we pursue the incomparable value of the heavenly kingdom.

Jesus says that the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. If one finds the treasure, he will not foolishly just pass it by. We should make every effort to obtain it. In ancient times, Galileo Galilei was brought to the Inquisition, being accused of spreading heretical theories. Standing before the Inquisition, he said that the earth moves, and the judges forced him to recant his beliefs, saying he was crazy.

Now the Vatican has acknowledged its mistake in condemning Galileo. It is because the heliocentric theory has been proven true, thanks to scientific advances. In those days, however, no one could prove it. Heavenly Mother viewed through the Bible As for the invisible world, we can judge whether or not it exists through a microscope or any other equipment. It is the same for the invisible world; we can see and discern the spiritual world through the Bible. Not through the Bible which is a microscope given by God, how can we find Father and confirm the existence of Mother? Without the prophecies of the Bible, how can we interpret this present time? We have to understand God the Father and God the Mother through the Bible, and we should also find the will of God in the Bible.

It is the Bible that proves all things. As the Bible tells us that spiritual things are spiritually discerned, let us confirm the value of the Bible further. People in the world put so much value on earthly things, but we find the greatest value in heavenly things. That is why their thoughts are different than ours. So, Jesus always reminded us of the value of the heavenly kingdom, and the forefathers of faith also asked us to set our hearts on things in heaven.

2 Pe 1:19-21 『And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.』

Whatever God says can never fail; it will surely come to pass (Isa 14:24-27; 46:11; 45:23). The words of the Bible are not stories men have made up, but they are the words of God, which are still being fulfilled according to God's purpose and plan for our salvation. Even though people in the world do not acknowledge us, we don't need to be influenced by that. Our salvation depends on God. No matter how much people try to slander and hinder us, our God continues to carry out the work of redemption. The Bible says that the Spirit and the Bride, Heavenly Father and Mother, will appear in the last days and call all people to receive the water of life, and that Jerusalem will be called The Throne of the LORD and all nations will gather in Jerusalem at that time (Rev 22:17; Jer 3:17). This is a prophecy about God the Mother that men spoke from God and wrote as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Gal 4:26-31 『But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother. For it is written: "Be glad, O barren woman, who bears no children; break forth and cry aloud, you who have no labor pains; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband." Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise. At that time the son born in the ordinary way persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. But what does the Scripture say? "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman's son." Therefore, brothers, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.』

"The Jerusalem that is above (in heaven) is free, and she is our mother." Apostle Paul also received these words from God and wrote them as he was moved by the Holy Spirit. The Bible shows that we are children of Jerusalem Mother, the free woman, and that we, like Isaac, are children of promise. At that time the one born according to the flesh persecuted the one born according to the Spirit. It is the same now. People are continuously persecuting God's people, who are preaching Christ, because it is a stumbling block and foolishness to them. Can a man hide the sky with his hands? Nevertheless, they try to stop the gospel of God from being preached to the whole world.

However, no matter what they do, the great plan of salvation set by our Father and Mother who manage the universe is carried out as prearranged. At the time of the early Church, God added to the Church of God daily those who were being saved, even in persecution and hindrance from people (Ac 2:47). A pleasing thing to God God says that not everyone who says to Him, "Lord, Lord!" will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of the Heavenly Father (Mt 7:21). God our Father said, "Peter followed Jesus, Joshua followed Moses, Elisha followed Elijah, and I follow Mother." We should understand why Father said that, and according to the will of Father we have to believe in God our Mother correctly, so we can all attain eternal salvation in the kingdom of heaven. Our faith comes from God.

The Bible says that men moved by the Holy Spirit received prophecies from God and wrote them. All the Bibles in the original language or any other languages describe that "the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother." If our Heavenly Mother did not exist, how would these words be written in the Bible? How would the Bride, who gives the water of life together with the Spirit who is God our Father, be described in the Bible? Testifying to the Savior who has come in the flesh?this is a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.

However, God says that there are people who are longing and waiting for the good news throughout the world in the last days?at the end of the gospel age, and that once they hear the news, they will all fly along to Jerusalem our Heavenly Mother like clouds, like doves to their nests. The preaching of Christ is a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but it is a beautiful and pleasing thing to God.

So God encourages His children who testify to Christ, saying, "You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up," and, "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news" (Isa 40:9; 52:7). God's sheep listen to His voice and follow Him (Jn 10:27). When we absolutely trust and follow all the teachings in the 66 books of the Bible, the voice of God, we will attain the eternal kingdom of heaven. Believing this firmly and putting it into practice, let us quickly proclaim the glory of Heavenly Father and Mother throughout the whole world, as "children of light" and "children of promise."

We should keep the Passover

As you know, God alone has eternal life.

God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal (1 Timothy 6:15-16)

Therefore, only God can give us eternal life. The promise of eternal life God gave us is contained in the Passover.

Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man [Jesus] and drink his [Jesus'] blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink…” (John 6:53-55)

Jesus promised that the bread of was His flesh and that the wine of the Passover was His blood.

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover…. While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this [the Passover bread] is my body.” Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This [The Passover wine] is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Matthew 26:19-28)

Those who observe the Passover are surely supposed to receive the blessing of eternal life according to the words of Jesus: “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life.” On the contrary, since Jesus said: “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you,” those who do not keep the Passover cannot receive eternal life. The World Mission Society Church of God believes in the promise of eternal life Jesus promised us and celebrates the Passover of the New Covenant as a precious truth.

The World Mission Society Church of God keeps the Sabbath

Sunday was kept because collections (offerings) were made on the first day of every week?
